Bankerhan Hotel Galata - Adults Only Special Category

Bankerhan is in an excellent location, just a short walk to the Galata tower and the restaurants and nightlife of Istiklal Street. It's also close to the trams and ferries that take you to Istanbul's main sights like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Asian side. It's a perfect place to explore Istanbul for first time travellers. The staff were also great, they warned us of a road closure on the day we departed and helped us organise transport to the airport. They couldn't be more welcoming and helpful... we'll definitely be booking the Bankerhan for our next visit to Istanbul!

This hotel is a real hidden gem and by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. When we arrived we were given a free room upgrade to room with a an exceptional view. You can see Hague Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and across the Bosporus to the Asian side too! I would go back just to see the view alone. You may need to ask for a room with this view as from what I can tell only levels 4 and up will have this and need to be on the right side of hotel, lower rooms may not but are priced accordingly. Staff are exceptional especially Zaynep who helped as with recommendations for food as well as organizing our transfer to the airport. We spend 2 nights here and then went else where in Turkey, however, had another night in Istanbul on the way back. Was planning to try a different hotel but after speaking with Zaynep she organized a room for us in the hotel which was even better than the first room! Location is great and with walking distance to most of the sites to see in Istanbul, if walking isn't your thing the tram is close enough. The rooms are clean and modern but are on the smaller side. For a couple they are good but I wouldn't recommend for more than that.

very good location for exploring Istanbul. in the heart of the city close to Galata Bridge but very quiet too as down a small side street. reception staff all friendly and helpful. breakfast was totally adequate and good value as included in reasonable room rates. room was a very good size. all modern but really tasteful decor. Wi-Fi easy to log into.

This was a great stay! The staff were very helpful, gave us a free upgrade to a fabulous rooftop room with the view of the Bosphorus. The location of the hotel is in a great location with many museums and landmarks in walking distance + close to every form of public transport in Istanbul. The decor of the room was very tasteful with several art pieces. The hotel and the room were really clean and had any thing you’d need for a long or short stay. The hotel is filled with art pieces and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to the manager Ms. Zeynep specifically for making this a great stay!
